Shana Katzman is a scientific illustrator, professor and scientist based in Mill Valley, California with a passion for education and ecology. Dr. Katzman has a Ph.D. in Physiology from U.C. Davis with a focus on comparative physiology as well as a Certificate in Natural Science Illustration from the Yale Peabody Museum. With a background that integrates art with ecology, organismal biology and cell biology, Dr. Katzman blends multidisciplinary scientific training with artistic skill to communicate complex biological concepts through visually engaging and accessible illustrations.
