Graceful Flow" captures the fluid elegance of two squids, meticulously rendered through the intaglio technique. Using a dental scraper, I incised the squid illustrations into plexiglass, creating intricate, delicate lines. Before printing, I applied green Chine Collé paper onto RF paper, adding a vibrant backdrop. The intaglio plate was then pressed over, embedding the squid designs into the layered surface. To complete the piece, I added red tissue paper to the heads of the squids using Chine Collé, infusing the artwork with a striking contrast that enhances the dynamic movement of these graceful creatures.
