The process of creating a work of art is the most important thing to me. The work is merely documentation of the activity: however, I do hope that the viewing public derives as much pleasure from the documentation as I do the activity.
Aunt Haga is a five-color wood cut. The reductive method was used in producing the piece. Thus the block was destroyed as subsequent colors were printed. The research that went into the preparation of the imagery and the actual physical resistance that was experienced during the cutting of the plate were truly pleasurable experiences
