Part I of the artist’s trio of self portraits, “(Charisma) Like Bill Clinton” recalls the tainted yet easy charisma which former president Bill Clinton was known for. A base of rusty brown (shared with “Like Patrick Bateman”) barely appears through mauve and red petals. The yellow drops scattered throughout act as the center of the flowers, with navy stems and bright blue roots sliding down. Cut and pasted text in a varied but complimentary color palette rests in the center, in a bed of flowers--but every rose has its thorn.
