You Were Born Free So Be Free was made by painter and muralist Galal Yousif Goly whose work is well known in Sudan and whose murals because an enduring symbol of the Sudanese Revolution.
Ajax Axe is an artist, writer and activist who has been visiting Sudan since 2008. Ajax documented and supported these artists and their mural projects and others during the sit-in in Khartoum.
