This rich colorized image illustrates a high traversing adventure to the raw, dramatic ski terrain beyond Aspen Highlands. This March journey took the skiers to a rarely skied, highly coveted ski basin know as Port Chester - also known as Porchester to local ski mountaineers. It is named from the home area of an Aspen Highlands Patroller who probably had the first descent in the 80s or 90s.
