Statement
I am a prophetic painter creating art that is colorful, spiritual, and grounded in story. My work blends expressive abstraction with symbolic portraiture, marked by bold color, texture, and layered forms that reflect transformation.
I paint to grow—to seek, surrender, and remember. Each piece is a visual conversation, meant to stir the soul, redeem what’s been forgotten, and offer strength and comfort. Whether painting alone or live before an audience, I create to connect—with God, with others, and with the deeper parts of who we are.
To create my works, I return to the canvas again and again—not to perfect something, but to grow. I call this unfolding dialogue The Conversational Canvas. Every painting begins in stillness. I listen and let the work emerge as a response, not a plan. I build layers with acrylic, draw with pencil, paint marker, and often paint with my hands. These marks are more than visual—they are spiritual impressions, evidence of a conversation with the unseen. My hands became my favorite tool when I had no words. They are the bridge between what is hidden and what wants to be revealed.
Ultimately, my art is shaped by Renaissance symbolism, human experience, and my journey through recovery, faith, and reinvention. I explore identity, resilience, and transformation—both my own and others’. Portraits often become windows into the soul. Viewers comment on the eyes in my paintings or the feeling in my studio—describing it as peaceful, sacred, and alive.
I paint to remember who I am, and to help others do the same. Art is how I grow. It’s how I serve. Each piece invites courage, connection, and the sacred return to who we are created to be.
