"Artists painting artists is a subject I like to explore. We are joined in our love for the joy of creating, and a painting of an artist painting another artist is a simple joy. The bright pink background creates an extra burst of color and feeling in an atmosphere of quiet concentration. We sit. We look. We paint. It is a simple journey. The longer I paint, the simpler the figures become, with as few marks as possible. Then the moment changes and the piece is complete. A moment of looking, of observing, of recording the creative process.
