For this one, I woke up early to witness the sunrise. I climbed up the dune to see an overlook of the marsh in the center of the island. A place full of grasses and alligators. It had a glossy silver-blue surface, and as the sun came up hot over the grasses, the silver glow lingered over the still water. I wanted to capture both the heat of the sun and the cool of the water. And also the bend of the grasses in the Gulf winds.
