In the painting "Apple and Tomatoes" is an echoing of spheres--the curve of the round frame in the background pointing to the bright apple, which leads gently to the two smaller tomatoes in a diminishing line. The painting allows the visual of the sphere to resonate in the painting and brighten and recede and fade away. A lyrical note of red and roundness.
