Sarah’s artistic journey began after the birth of her daughter, who has a rare genetic disorder (SYNGAP1) that causes intellectual disability and related challenges. Observing her daughter’s distinct way of engaging with the world continually reshapes Sarah’s own perspective. This unique lens informs her work, as she strives to capture the feeling and emotion of a moment in time. 

Her paintings are regularly featured in juried art shows throughout Nashville. Her Nashville-themed pieces were displayed in the Flying Solo Exhibition at the Nashville airport in the Spring of 2024. From October 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025, Sarah was one of 12 artists selected to participate in the inaugural Artist in Residence Program in the historic downtown Nashville Arcade. As a proud member of the Chestnut Group, an organization dedicated to plein air painting for land conservation and preservation, Sarah is committed to leveraging her art for positive change. Through her art, Sarah strives to inspire empathy, spark connections, and contribute to the beauty of her community.
