This piece draws on my New York roots and the openness of southern skies to reflect the balance between density and space. The thick impasto textures pull together like gathered fabric creating a sense of both fullness and containment. It invites the viewer to consider how we inhabit crowded spaces and how stillness can emerge within the heavy rhythm of the urban grid.
