In Mauve Morning Light, I’ve utilized a palette of "dusty" mauves, khakis, and warm cremes to capture the city during its most delicate transition. Rendered on birch panel, the work emphasizes the "stair-step" rhythm of the rooftops as they emerge from the shadows of dawn. The texture of the heavy-body acrylic and structural mediums creates a sculptural "weave" that grounds the atmospheric light, reflecting the intersection of my design background and fine art practice. It is a study of the "hush", and that fleeting moment when the urban environment feels less like a place of density and more like a quiet, patterned sanctuary.
