Going to a train yard brings beautiful dreams of my childhood. Like the magic has been sprinkled into my eyes. I had treasured walks down to the train yard with my grandfather. The people waved at us as the train pulled out of the station. And later my Father worked for the railroad so I guess you could say the railroad ran deep in our family history.
On this day, all of us in the Plein-air group had gathered at Jeff Gunn's Tiger Cave Studio, and Jeff announced we were going to take a walk to find inspiration to paint. I was thrilled, and I think my painting tells the story of what goes on in the train yard is a thing of beauty and inspiration
