Gallery owner and mixed media underwater artist Susan J Roche began the gallery by showcasing unique and thought-provoking artworks that captivate the imagination. As passionate an advocate for the local art community through our participation in prestigious art fairs, we aim to spotlight the flourishing creativity on the Jersey Shore.

After Superstorm Sandy, when five feet of the Atlantic Ocean filled Roche's Ocean and Bayside gallery, she began working to show prestigiously nationally and internationally. While learning how and where to show, she understood her responsibility and position to help other local artists; Saltwater Fine Art emerged.
