I have always painted throughout my lifetime but it was only since recently graduating from the University of Northampton with a first class Honors Degree in Fine Art Painting that I set up my art practice full-time.
My studio is set in the beautiful rural setting of the Northamptonsire countryside which is a constant source of inspiration. My connection with the landscape is very strong and my paintings are a meditative and reflective interpretation of a disappearing natural landscape. I also create works that incorporate natural elements and textures into the work to illustrate the beauty of nature and the importance of valuing it.
Over the years I have worked in many different mediums and have painted representational studies for commissions.

Statement
All my works are an emotional response to the natural landscape. From studies of rock formations, the shoreline as well as the fields and forests around me nature is ever inspiring. With an environmental thread of natural materials and processes I aim to communicate the beauty in the often overlooked and the importance of preserving the natural world.
