"Amongst the fun and delight of an Op Shop my works invite a contemplation on the transience of the world we build around ourselves and whisper of forgotten stories, hidden secrets and abandoned dreams. Speaking to these narratives, my paintings uncover the inherent power of bringing our truths into the light, honouring their imperfect beauty and allowing ourselves to start anew.”

Sally's still-life paintings, reflect moments captured during the hours she spends wandering through city and country op shops, where she finds artistic inspiration at every turn. Using combinations of photo references and her own sketches, Sally's paintings honour the imperfect beauty found in these long lost treasures offering them a chance to start anew.

Sally recently graduated from a Diploma of Visual Arts at the Northern College of Arts and Technology. Sally has recently exhibited in the NCAT Decade group show 2024, NCAT graduate 2025 show and completed a residency at Mungaa Studios provided by the City of Banyule with her painting group the Thursday Collective. Sally will exhibit in 2025 with Mycelium Studios, where she shares her art studio and also at Glimpse Space Art Gallery in Northcote.
