Statement
"As an artist, I strive to create paintings that immerse myself and others in the beauty of horses in their settings, and with their own individual personalities. Before I begin a painting, I start with an idea or inspiration that usually comes from a series of photographs I have taken. I'm not really interested in rendering a photograph as much as I am in creating a painting that transports the viewer to a unique experience. I want to capture an image with my brushes, paint, and canvas that transcends present reality."
