This is a mixed media piece on board. It is a mixture of acrylic, hand printed tissue paper collage and hand drawn elements. It is simply framed in a white wooden tray frame.
It was inspired by the coastline around Aldeburgh in Suffolk. I have been luck y enough to stay there regularly and have finally managed to make a body of work reflecting the very particular topography of that part of the world. Aldeburgh beach is almost all shingle, and has a wonderful 'collection' of fisherman's debris, old fishing boats and fishing huts all along it- ripe hunting ground for art inspiration.
This piece shows the distinctive silhouette of Aldeburgh as you look back at it along the beach, along the horizon.
This piece is easy to post framed, as it is unglazed.
