This piece was inspired by a walk at Uffington Castle, Oxfordshire, England. An Iron Age hill fort, the landscape also includes a Neolithic 'White Horse' scraped into the chalk hillside. In this piece I'm standing very close to the White Horse, so it becomes foreshortened and strange (it's best seen from a distance).
This piece is a monoprint sketch, a complete one-off, whereby I rolled ink onto a surface and then take it off with a rag (to make the white areas), before printing it with a press onto etching paper.
I know it can be a little daunting buying art online, so feel free to contact me at [email protected] if you'd like any further photos, videos or information, with no pressure or obligation. It can be enjoyable to find just the right piece of art for your space. I also undertake commissions, so if you'd like something similar to what you see, but bespoke to your needs, just let me know.
