Bizen ware is one of the most famous Japanese pottery. It is from Bizen province in Okayama.
Shuzoh Ogawa (1951- ) is one of the most famous METI-designated traditional craftspeople.
He is the grandson of the 1st Touko Konishi and the younger brother of Tozo Konishi.
He and his son (Kouzoh Ogawa) started a new kiln (Omomuki Kiln) in December 2011 and are producing traditional Bizen wares and new types of wares.
Even now, Shuzoh Ogawa’s art works are not mass produced and are very expensive.
We believe every tea master knows him. Because he produces Bizen wares for more than 45 years.
