Competition of Forms reflects Robin Antar’s early exploration of pattern, repetition, and spatial rhythm, ideas that first emerged in her works on paper while studying at the School of Visual Arts in the late 1970s. Interlocking forms create movement, tension, and visual continuity, allowing the composition to shift as the viewer moves around it.
