The work of 28 year-old Roanoke native Maggie Perrin-Key can be found around town in the form of murals and paintings.

“Roanoke is unique in its ability to encompass a rich community in the city centers and meaningful solitude in the woods and natural land areas,” says Perrin-Key. “And they are in close proximity to each other. This is such an important part of my way of life and my ability to find true balance. It sustains my creative fire.

“My artistic goal is always to keep painting, and I would love to create spaces for people to feel free to make. Creation can be such a healing practice and it isn’t just for artists - it’s for everyone!”
