The artist explores a deep color palette in illustrating a fond childhood memory.
“This piece is from a memory of New Year’s Eve 2000, when the clock struck midnight. My best friend and I had snuck off down to the creek. The moon being a crescent, it was so dark that we could barely see my Tinkerbell wrist watch turn 12:00 am.
25 years later, that same lifetime friend gifted me Pilgrim at Tinker Creek by Annie Dillard as a Christmas present.”
