Patrick Colvett Branch painted this work in New York City while he was attending the Art Students League of New York. For many years it hung in the Roanoke County home of his parents, Betty and the late Bill Branch.
Patrick was an artist talented in the use of charcoal, watercolor. He most recently layered hand torn papers to create images in his work as a “tear-er-ist.”
The Branch family has been part of the warp and woof of Roanoke’s creative fabric for decades. Enjoy Betty Branch’s bronze work in the collection at entrance of the Main Library.
