Artists Donna Essig and Mimi Babe Harris created eight sculptures for the Roanoke Valley Sister Cities. These columns are decorated in different ways in order to symbolize the cultures represented by each of Roanoke’s sister cities and Roanoke itself. The Roanoke Valley Sister City columns can be found along both sides of the Century Plaza.
