Down the hill from our house sits a spring fed pond. On the southern bank of the pond rests an old plum tree. For the past several years, this venerable plum has captured my attention... the gnarled trunk, the young branchlets, the delicate blossoms. Each day as I take my morning walk, the plum tree welcomes me. "Tenderness" is part of a series very simply called "The Plum Tree."

Linda Koenig received Her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her home and watercolor studio are nestled in the hills of southwestern Wisconsin. Her work can be found in museums, juried exhibitions, private and corporate collections throughout the United States. She has been represented by River Arts on Water Gallery since 2012.
