The work, "Muddy Waters...Dragonfly Blues" uses one vintage self-photocopy of arm and hand placed with one dragonfly (already deceased, found on garage floor). With natural and artificial light sources in play, explored and noted, a final documentary photo is then taken. No computer modifications are made.
My work centers around development and photo-documenting created physical 'theatrical-like,' 'story-to-tell' kind of stage-sets. These stage-sets, or 'visual-narratives' use various physical elements to inspire singular works or may be use in a sequence of multiple works in a 'loosely-woven' series. These physical elements may include one or more of these: single or multiple vintage self-photocopies, previously-taken photographs, a physical prop, or props and various multi-layered negative, or positive shaped paper masks. With both natural and artificial light sources in play, explored and noted, a final documentary photo is then taken. No computer modifications are made.
