This is a Gelede society helmet mask with a human face and hat-type headdress. The eyes are pierced and there is Yoruba triple scarification incised on the cheeks. Blue pigment and traces of kaolin are evident. The broad, flat nose has flaring nostrils, while the lips are full and fleshy. The ears lie flat against the head like question marks.
