Once upon a time, people sat, or stood waiting for the photographer to call out "Smile! please," and then adopted an artificial, fixed smile. Today most portraits are selfies, and yet the photographer-subjects in their thousands still adopt a fake tooth-baring smile as if advertising dentifrice.

Here, I tried to represent the happiness in an abstract pattern of colours, and leave you to imagine the person -- and their teeth.
