I find a particular pleasure in creating works whose arrangement the owner can change. These diptychs can be hung with the two panels in either order to describe a different story.

Here the scene shows two strangers at the rail on board a ferry. They are perhaps about to strike up a conversation, and even to begin a friendship. Reverse the frames (click on the small image below) and we see a disconsolate couple who give the impression they wish they had never met...
