About a Sun God

This piece is a made of a heavily patined old masonite wooden door. I etched and stained and painted the door until it became a map like surface of a city from the air - Lagos in this instance. It forms part of the unbonded series. I liked the use of an old door from a house, with all the marks of the previous users to create this optimistic map of the city
