High Ground (Win Green Clump) is a meditation on the sense of place aroused by being at Win Green, close to the Dorset/Wiltshire border, and the highest point in the Cranborne Chase National Landscape. The sense of history and the apparent magic of this exposed location were visceral. The presence of chalk and flint is never far away and highlights a contrast with the softly swaying beech clump that disguises an ancient burial mound.
