La Noisettine. Aubusson. Tea Salon & Bakery La Noisettine. Aubusson.
For more than a month, each Monday morning I would go into Aubusson early in the day to sketch the town before it got busy. I would start these flâneries with a nice espresso at La Noisettine, where I could gather my thoughts, make a plan, and begin to sketch. My first morning there, I made this drawing of my coffee, the inviting ambiance, and the storefront across the street, seen outside the glass doors. It looks like a picture on a wall, doesn’t it? But it is really La Gourmandise, resting before it opens its doors for business that day.
