As a visual artist growing up in Florida, I have a real fondness for palm trees. They are all around me, all the time it seems, and I pay special attention to the way they stand, sway in the wind, and how their colors change in the light. I started creating works on paper using collage, graphite, oil pastels, painted papers, and image transfers. I love these wonderfully magical trees that speak to me about the Florida landscape.
