Hand domed and hand pierced with a coping saw. Salt water etched with water reflections. A water parsnip image is pierced out on the dome and hand created silver rivets were added as embellishments. The 1/2 dome is cold connected to the copper base with tabs. A scene of a prairie sunset is painted on the back plate and can be viewed through the domed piece. To dome the top piece of metal required commissioning a large scale wooden dapping set to be commissioned by Sask. wood working Dale Lowe. The top copper piece required annealing a dapping 10 seperate times to get it to domed.
