MessageReginaStadnik grew up in Kyiv, Ukraine. After immigrating to the US, she continuedher art studies at the University of South Florida, where she developed the strong interest in printmaking. More recently her art practice shifted to incorporate quilting, often combining painting and printing on top of quilt surface to build imagery.
Regina uses the soft tactile quality of quilts to explore the themes of shelter and security. Her work, often in muted colors, depicts interiors and cityscapes imbued with longing and hope.
Regina’s work is in several public collections, including San Francisco GeneralHospital, Bienes Museum of the Modern Book, and the University of South Florida. She exhibited at the 2023 De Young Open and is currently an Artist-in-Residence at KALA Art Institute. Her studio is located in Oakland, CA.
