Contemporary landscape of Highway 4 at Saint Marys Road, in south eastern Prince Edward Island (Epekwitk).
This is my route home from running errands in the nearest small town.
A narrow highway with red-earth shoulders curves gently up and down, and side to side. Forest lines the road on each side, casting long and wide shadows across the road from right to left, with just a few breaks of evening light spilling onto the pavement. Utility poles and highway signs can be seen along both sides of the road.
