I really don't know why, but I'm drawn to feathers. I find them challenging and fun to paint at the same time. Marvels of creation, each one is so different in design and color. Have you ever looked at one under a microscope? I'm entranced by how you can run your fingers down the wrong way making them messy, and then easily fix them by going the opposite direction as each section hooks back together. And to think that they GROW on a bird. Truly amazing.
