This informal arrangement, which I did not labor extensively on, reminded me of a statement artist Richard Schmid made about flowers, "To me, they are like enchanting but naughty children each crying for attention, or each perhaps a bittersweet thought..."

Perhaps this little arrangement could be both. After all, aren't the imperfect handfuls of wildflowers gathered by a child the sweetest and most nostalgic bouquets of them all?
