As a professional in the graphic arts, my career started in advertising with J Walter Thompson & Thompson Connect in Mumbai, India and my work was exclusively digital in nature.
When I moved to Hong Kong in the new millennium, I learnt jewellery design at an exclusive boutique jeweller, designed for local celebrities, socialites and participated in the Hong Kong Jewellery Fairs.

As a young mother of two, I continued freelance projects and product designs for award winning children’s books like Gruffalo & Room on the Broom amongst others.

Having always been captivated by the Islamic designs in Masjids and Scriptures, I discovered Tezhip (Islamic Illumination) with lessons at The Istanbul School of Design, Türkiye.

After 20 years it was as if I had found the missing piece of a puzzle and started my journey in the Traditional Arts.
It was an effortless transition to using a paintbrush; the beauty of the Shell Gold in Tezhip magically transforms the designs to shimmering wonders.

It has been a most fulfilling adventure and I am at the threshold of a door that holds infinite works that I am eager to explore.
