Where will you sail today? by Rachel Rae
Clouds Streak the sky.
The Paper Tiger cat sails catch the wind.
"Don't fall out of the boat...
There are sharks", Dad warns.
"Shall we sail to the point?"
Where will you sail today?
Growing up my grandparents had a house at Mt Martha, on the Mornington Pensinsula in Victoria. From the balcony you could see all the way to the point at the beach. We would walk down the hill along the dirt roads, past the tea trees to the Beach Box. My dad and uncle kept a yellow Paper Tiger Catamaran underneath and would take us sailing. I loved being allowed to steer the boat feeling the sea spray on my face.
This original painting by Rachel Rae Art is painted in acrylic with a varnish on a deep stretched canvas and is ready to hang.
