These images are mixed media paintings done in acrylic, oils and digital lighting brushes. This series explores the feminine archetype from all our childhood fairytales, the damsel in distress found with in pop-culture characters we teach our young girls. But here they are all running toward the light alone, saving themselves like the warriors they can be. This series was inspired by the beautiful trappings of the life of a princess and the weight these women carry with them as they run toward a new a better place and time.
