Stephanie Carpenter is a letterpress printer, educator, and graphic designer. Since 2011 she has worked at the Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. Stephanie enjoys the tactile nature of letterpress printing and the direct connection to history. She creates work using moveable type alongside unconventional materials like foam sheets and sandblast vinyl. In her work she embraces alternative image-making techniques, including pressure printing and offset brayer inking.
