Neil Stavely works in mixed media formats with an emphasis on block printing and painting techniques. His work has been informed by nature and wildlife, historical and current events, and other cultural influences. His current work utilizes post consumer packaging as an initial support reflecting the advertising haze which is an ever present backdrop in America. The mass produced packaging is printed and painted upon, reconfigured into a unique manifestation of a manic folk pop expressionism.
