Jonathan Fuentes is a multidisciplinary artist based in Washington, DC. Fuentes' works take inspiration from modern art, pop culture, and his experiences as a part of the LGBTQ community. His work attempts to depict the world through absurdity, either simplifying complex issues or overworking simple ideas. Fuentes’s belief in “taking the silly seriously” is evident in his current medium of choice, mixed media collage, where the use of unconventional materials allows him to experiment freely.
