Artist: Jenny Freestone
Working in the media of etching, drypoint, photogravure and photopolymer gravure,
Freestone's work begins with drawn studies or photographs. Natural forms are her
subject matter, often placed within architectural forms to reinforce the connection
between human endeavour and the natural world, and to reflect both on the human
condition and its impact on the earth.
Freestone's work is in the collections of The Library of Congress, Washington DC;
Carnegie Mellon University; PA. National Museum of Women in the Arts, amongst many
other public and private collections. Since 2010 she has held 7 solo exhibitions in the
US and participated in more than sixty national and international exhibitions.
