Ascension
- Steel
- 72 x 120 x 120 in
- Jake Balcom
The sculpture was commissioned by the Dundee/Memorial Park Association with a gift from an anonymous donor. The artist chose the name "Ascension" because it felt like the sculpture, which was placed in harmony with the gardens, allowing it to interact with the roses in the summer and act as a focal point in the winter, was still evolving and it would keep growing larger and larger, rising to a monumental state.
