Lush

Lush is rose-inspired painting that conveys a joyful sense of abundance and wellness. On a spring day when the artist was on a neighbourhood walk, a beautiful flower caught her eye. The colours from that single flower were used to create this abstract work. Acrylic mediums were applied before the paint colours to create dense textures. The resulting effect is similar to that of impasto, a painting technique that uses thick paint and is often seen in expressionist paintings.
