A cut circle is sewn together taut like a drum symbolizing peace, unity, healing, and the heartbeat of mother Earth. A reduced color palette focuses the eye on mending. This optimistic work encourages rethinking our approach and working together—we are more powerful and resilient acting as one. I love the unexpected juxtaposition of sewing into rock. Together was curated by Katsumi (Kats) Kimoto for a KIMOTO Gallery exhibition on Vancouver’s gallery row. It was also featured at my Britannia Art Gallery exhibition. Together would have been curated for another show with my agent, however it sold in the Britannia exhibition.
